Can you give me some information about the main image used on homepage and the header?

Unknown No Longer's signature image blends three different pieces from the VHS collections. The image of the workers in the field is from "The Scarecrow", an oil on canvas by Allen Carter Redwood (1834–1922) (Lora Robins Collection of Virginia Art, 2000.45). The individual female figure is from a hand-tinted mid-nineteenth-century ambrotype (1997.110.4). Ironically for this project, the woman's name is unknown. Finally, the text that runs through the image is from a slave bill of sale from 1825 (Mss2 T3755 a 1), one of the documents that will be included in the Unknown No Longer database.
